Continuing Our Faith Journey

The Church is living the "Year of the Holy Spirit" and invites all parishioners to explore what that means to become a 'synodal Church', grounded in our shared understanding of evangelisation, discipleship and mission. The Archdiocesan web site [ https://www.cgevangelisation.org.au/year-of-the-holy-spirit/ ] details activities at the Archdiocesan level. The document "Blackfriars Parish - Continuing Our Faith Journey', in the SPECIAL NOTICES repository on the left side of this web page,  summarises Blackfriars Parish response to date and calls for your input.

RESPONSES REQUESTED TO ARCHDIOCESAN ASSEMBLY 2024 - REPORT

As part of the Year of the Holy Spirit, over 550 people across the Archdiocese gathered on 19 October 2024 to discern 'what seems good to the Holy Spirit and us’ (Act 15:28). The Assembly was a step on a pilgrim journey of discernment, which you are invited to join as the journey continues.

Copies of the Executive Summary and Synthesis Report can be downloaded from the Special Notices collection on the Right Hand Side of this page. The Synthesis Report invites responses to questions listed at page 20. Responses can be uploaded to the Archdiocese at:  https://tally.so/r/nWpB6L . Please read the report and consider responding. Copies of the questions will be left on the tables at the exits of Holy Rosary Church.
