In celebration of our wonderful Parish of Mary Queen of Apostles and the Old Cathedral of Sts Peter and Paul’s, we welcome you to Mass at 10 am on Sunday the 29th of June.
This will be followed by a morning tea, hosted by the Parish in the Cathedral Grounds.
5 July | The Armed Man - a concert for peace and harmony
The Canberra Choral Society and The National Capital Orchestra are joining forces again to present a concert of two very special works for chorus and orchestra, 'The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace' by beloved British composer Sir Karl Jenkins, and 'Human Waves' by legendary Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin AO. Celebrating peace, harmony and resilience, this uplifting concert will be conducted by NCO Music Director Louis Sharpe, with soprano soloist Jillian Halleron and cellist Liam Meany.
30 July | An Evening of Dialogue: Pilgrims of Hope | 07:00 pm
Acclaimed filmmaker and author Bill Bennett, whose spiritual journey on the Camino inspired his award-winning film The Way, My Way. Bill will share how walking the Camino revealed a new way of living - simpler, freer, and more hopeful. Hosted by journalist and community leader Genevieve Jacobs AM, the evening will include a keynote presentation by Bill Bennett; small group discussion and audience Q&A facilitated by Genevieve. Event will be held at Marist College Canberra

Join us for the Archbishop’s St Mary MacKillop Pilgrimage on 9 August 2025 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Eden. This special church has been designated for the Jubilee Year of Hope.

23 August | Mothers Prayers Retreat Day - Become like children (Matt 18:3-5)
All women are welcome to join us for our Mothers Prayers Retreat day. Morning tea and lunch will be provided. Gluten free options will be available for morning tea but not for lunch.
Come aside together for a day - ignite the child within as we explore, share, pray for our children and have fun in this nurturing community. The day includes talks, reconciliation and an introduction to Mothers Prayers.
We are invited to come together as God's children - accompanied by St Therese of Lisieux who said "it is enough ... to give oneself wholly, as a child, into the arms of the Good God."

19 October | 90th Anniversary of St. Patrick’s Church, Braddon
St. Patrick’s Church Braddon, the first Catholic Church on the North side of Canberra, was dedicated on 20th October 1935. This year marks the 90th anniversary of its consecration. The anniversary will be commemorated on Sunday, 19th October with a Mass celebrated by Archbishop Prowse at 8am followed by refreshments. St. Pat’s began life as a church-school and organisers wish to contact former pupils to share their school day memories and to attend the Mass and celebrations on that day.
