Bookings for Weekend Masses No Longer Required

Our parish now has an ACT government QR Code which means that we can apply the 2m² rule to our churches.

For those who have a smartphone, please check in with the Check In CBR app as you enter the church.  For those not using the app, please write your details in the Mass Register in the foyer.  A number of approximately 200 people will be allowed in the church.

How to Install and Use the Check In CBR App at Church

Download this from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.  Register your details (required for the first time only).  To check in at the church, open the app, select ‘check in now’ and hover your smartphone camera over the displayed QR Code.  You can add extra people with you who do not have their own device or app.  When the check in is complete, show the attendant the successful check in screen.

No 8.00am Sunday Croatian Mass at St Monica's Church

Until a new Croatian chaplain has been appointed, the 8.00am Sunday Mass at St Monica's will not be held.  In the interim, Croatian Mass goers are encouraged to attend the regular parish Masses.

Collection Arrangements at Masses

Due to COVID 19 restrictions the parish moved to a one collection at each Mass to reduce movement of parishioners.  The sole collection includes envelopes, and loose notes and coins.  The collection will be split between the parish and the central presbytery fund on a 70:30 split.  That is, 70% is retained by the parish to meet operational expenses.

The parish sincerely thanks all parishioners who contribute to this collection in loose notes and coins and, those parishioners who contribute through the Planned Giving Program envelopes.

Parishioners who contribute through an envelope are requested to consider moving to a direct debit arrangement.  A direct debt contribution would not only assist in ensuring a regular cash flow but would also reduce the need to handle large volumes of cash.  An alternative to a direct debit arrangement is the use of the credit card authority on a monthly basis.  Forms are available under the APPLICATION FORMS tab at the top of this page.

Direct deposits can be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help BSB 062 786 A/c No 00029453 with Reference your envelope number and surname.

If you have any questions or wish to discuss your contribution, please contact Ted Smith on 6241 3364 or 0411 106 295.

Donations to the Central Presbytery Fund

There is no longer two collections at Masses.  Should you wish to make a contribution to the Central Presbytery fund to support the priest of Archdiocese you can do this by making a bank transfer to the Central Presbytery Fund, BSB 062 786, Ac No 000 029 248 with Reference:  your parish locality and your family name  (eg BelNorth Smith).  It's important to include the reference so that funds can be allocated correctly.  Alternatively, you can arrange for funds to be debited regularly from your bank account.  Download the form from the APPLICATION FORMS tab at the top of this page.

Archdiocesan Protocols regarding Covid-19 as of 4 December 2020

For Masses, Weddings, Funerals and Liturgies, parishes need to apply for the QR Code if they want to apply the 2m² rule to their churches.

This means that most churches will be able to accommodate about 200 people.

If a liturgy is celebrated outside the church, then apply the 2m² rule, up to a maximum of 500 people.

A Mass Register is required for those parishioners who do not use the QR Code.  The QR Code does not keep count of participants, so numbers will need to be monitored.

The full Archdiocesan Protocols have been posted on the front glass door of the church.
