Density limits are terminated.  All pews in the church are now available.

Masks are no longer mandatory for liturgical and parochial gatherings (beginning Friday 25 February).

Reception of Holy Communion: Sacred Host only, not the Precious Blood (to be reviewed in coming months).

Communion on the hand and on the tongue (reinstated).

Parish Sacramental Program 2022

If you have a child in years 3, 4, or 6 in 2022, this is a Sacramental year.


Change of Dates for the Sacrament of Reconciliation for eligible year 3 students (and students in years 4, 5 & 6 who have not yet celebrated the Sacrament) from St Michael's and St Monica's schools will be celebrated on:

- Tuesday 8 November in St Michael's Church - Kaleen
- Wednesday 9 November in St Monica’s Church - Evatt

Registrations opened on Monday 19 September and will close by Friday 14 October.
Registrations must be made via Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Qkr! App (NOT the school app).
No late registrations will be accepted after the closing date.

Parent Formation Evening
Will be held on Tuesday 11 October 2022 at 6pm in St Michael’s Church.

Commitment Masses – will be on the weekends of:
- 15 & 16 October; and
- 22 & 23 October.
Candidates and parents must attend one of the weekend Masses at either St Monica’s Church (6pm Saturday or 10am Sunday) or St Michael’s Church (8am or 5.30pm Sunday) to make their commitment for the Sacrament.
There will be no additional commitment Masses beyond these dates.

Purchasing a Stole
Purchasing a stole is optional and is not compulsory – you can borrow one on the night.
If you do wish to purchase a stole, please make a payment of $20 through the Qkr! App at the time of registration.
The purchased stoles will be delivered to the schools for students to take home.

School of Religion
Classes will be held over 5 Tuesday's from 6-7pm in the meeting room at St Monica's Church, Evatt on the following dates during term 4:
18 and 25  October;
1, 8, and 15 November 2022.

The Sacrament for the School of Religion candidates will be celebrated on
Tuesday 22 November in St Monica’s Church - Evatt, from 3.30 - 6pm.

Registration and Commitment Masses for School of Religion are the same as 'above'.

Collection Arrangements during Mass

Due to COVID 19 restrictions the parish moved to a one collection at each Mass to reduce movement of parishioners.  The sole collection includes envelopes, and loose notes and coins.  The collection will be split between the parish and the central presbytery fund on a 70:30 split.  That is, 70% is retained by the parish to meet operational expenses.


The parish sincerely thanks all parishioners who contribute to this collection in loose notes and coins and, those parishioners who contribute through the Planned Giving Program envelopes.


Parishioners who contribute through an envelope are requested to consider moving to a direct debit arrangement.  A direct debt contribution would not only assist in ensuring a regular cash flow but would also reduce the need to handle large volumes of cash.  An alternative to a direct debit arrangement is the use of the credit card authority on a monthly basis.  Forms are available under the APPLICATION FORMS tab at the top of this page.


Direct deposits can be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help BSB 062 786 A/c No 00029453 with Reference your envelope number and surname.

Donations to the Central Presbytery Fund

There are no longer two collections at Masses.  Should you wish to make a contribution to the Central Presbytery fund to support the priests of Archdiocese you can do this by making a bank transfer to the Central Presbytery Fund, BSB 062 786, Ac No 000 029 248 with Reference:  your parish locality and your family name  (eg BelNorth Smith).  It's important to include the reference so that funds can be allocated correctly.  Alternatively, you can arrange for funds to be debited regularly from your bank account.  Download the form from the APPLICATION FORMS tab at the top of this page.


Code of Conduct Form for Parish Volunteers

The Institute of Professional Standards and Safeguarding has requested that all parish volunteers be familiar with the guidelines for child protection in our archdiocese.  The Child Protection - Code of Conduct document and the Acknowledgement form have  been uploaded to the Policies section of this website.  All parish volunteers should read the document and sign the Code of Conduct Acknowledgement form. Please scan the signed form and send it via email to the parish office or place the signed form in the locked church letter box.
