The Stations of the Resurrection, also known as "Way of Light",  focus on the events following Jesus' Resurrection, such as his appearances to Mary Magdalene and the disciples. They provide a way to meditate on the risen Christ and the promise of new life, liberation, joy and peace that Easter offers.

This is a prayer and friendship group for men which meets every week on Thursday, 7pm, in St Monica's Church Meeting Room.

Parish Sacramental Program 2025 

School of Religion (SOR) - 

Parish School of Religion commences 6pm to 7.30pm on Tuesday 13th May at St Monica's Church, Evatt. This is for children preparing for their First Communion who do not attend St Michael's or St Monica's Primary schools.

2025 Parish Sacramental Program – for students who are baptised and are in years 4-6 in 2025 and wish to celebrate the Sacraments.

Sacrament of Reconciliation – was celebrated in term 1, 2025.

Sacrament of Communion - will be celebrated in term 2, 2025.

Sacrament of Confirmation - will be celebrated in term 3, 2025.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions the parish moved to a one collection at each Mass to reduce movement of parishioners.  The sole collection includes envelopes, and loose notes and coins.  The collection will be split between the parish and the central presbytery fund on a 70:30 split.  That is, 70% is retained by the parish to meet operational expenses.

The parish sincerely thanks all parishioners who contribute to this collection in loose notes and coins and, those parishioners who contribute through the Planned Giving Program envelopes.

Parishioners who contribute through an envelope are requested to consider moving to a direct debit arrangement.  A direct debt contribution would not only assist in ensuring a regular cash flow but would also reduce the need to handle large volumes of cash.  An alternative to a direct debit arrangement is the use of the credit card authority on a monthly basis.  Forms are available under the APPLICATION FORMS tab at the top of this page.

There are no longer two collections at Masses.  Should you wish to make a contribution to the Central Presbytery fund to support the priests of Archdiocese you can do this by making a bank transfer to the Central Presbytery Fund, BSB 062 786, Ac No 00029248 with Reference:  your parish locality and your family name  (eg BelNorth Smith).  It's important to include the reference so that funds can be allocated correctly.  Alternatively, you can arrange for funds to be debited regularly from your bank account.  Download the form from the APPLICATION FORMS tab at the top of this page.

The Institute of Professional Standards and Safeguarding has requested that all parish volunteers be familiar with the guidelines for child protection in our archdiocese.  The Child Protection - Code of Conduct document and the Acknowledgement form have  been uploaded to the Policies section of this website.  All parish volunteers should read the document and sign the Code of Conduct Acknowledgement form. Please scan the signed form and send it via email to the parish office or place the signed form in the locked church letter box.
