Baptisms

Baptisms in Tumut are celebrated on Saturday mornings at 10.30am.  This is a wonderful way to bring your child (or yourself) into the community of our church surrounded by the faithful.  

To request baptism, please fill in the booking form under 'Application Forms' on the left-hand menu.  You can then email this form back to tumut@cg.org.au, or call in and see Sue in the Parish office - Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am - 2pm.

You are required to attend the baptism two step preparation.

Just a reminder for engaged couples hoping to Marry before mid-February 2025

Just a reminder that engaged couples hoping to marry before mid-February 2025, need to register now for either:

 ·         December 10th 2024 FOCCUS marriage preparation program - Manuka

 ·         Smart Loving Engaged Online - 9 session marriage preparation program (please note that a 3-month window is required to complete this program prior to getting married)

The parish gather for morning tea on the first Sunday of each month, after 10am Mass.  

Please join us for fellowship, food and fun. The next one will be held on this Sunday 1st December  -  All welcome Bring a plate of nibbles if you can.  Thanks

First Friday of the Month Morning Teas - the next one is on 6th December

24 November | Christ the King Taralga Church Celebrates 90 years

Christ the King Parish of Taralga Celebrates 90 years of Worship in the Church built by Bishop Barry.
Please come and celebrate with them at 9.30 am Mass followed by morning tea, on the Feast of Christ the King, November 24.

 

04 December | Invitation: Canberra modern slavery event | 10:00AM
The Archdiocese of Canberra Goulburn is hosting morning tea with guest speaker Moe Turaga, slavery survivor and advocate.
Moe plays a key role in the Catholic response to modern slavery in Australia through his work as an expert adviser to Domus 8.7 Remediation Service and consultant to the Australian Catholic Anti-slavery Network.

People are invited to apply for the position of Parish Secretary for St Benedict’s Parish, Narrabundah. This is a part-time permanent position Tues-Fri 9am-12pm.

Requirements:  Strong Microsoft Office skills,  Experience with database packages,  Strong communication Skills, Understanding of the Catholic faith  -  App due 13 Dec 2024
